The Early Learning Network focuses on improving academic success for children, particularly from marginalized groups. Their project aimed to enhance early childhood education by developing affordable, user-friendly tools for assessing instruction, interactions, and environments. By identifying key factors in early learning and achievement, educators are supported in delivering personalized, effective instruction. Our collaboration with the University of California included developing the Optimizing Learning Opportunities for Students (OLOS) system and integrating the Concepts and Applied Skills Assessment (CASA) to provide dynamic insights for educators, helping them better meet students' needs.

This project focused on creating an affordable and user-friendly case management software for non-profits. The software was designed to track and report information about the delivery of services within non-profit programs. It facilitated the management of client journeys from intake to exit, capturing data on activities, assessments, and outcomes. The goal was to streamline the workflow for case managers, who coordinate services for clients, ensuring comprehensive tracking of client progress and engagement throughout their involvement in the program. Each stage, from referral and intake to final assessment and exit, was incorporated into the system to provide a clear and efficient overview of client interactions and results.

The ISI Research Lab at UCI, Irvine improves literacy and math instruction by developing tools to assess student performance. These researchers have advanced educational research and, in conjunction with the team at Outcome Engine, have built custom software that analyzes students' progress. These tools help educators understand how students are doing in their learning.

IVI.inc is a startup aimed at revolutionizing the real estate shopping experience by focusing on the social and aspirational aspects of the process. The IVI app empowers users to become influencers for real estate agents, allowing them to monetize their digital presence through the app’s social features. Users can create “vines”—custom driving routes for house tours—which they can share with others. Although the app offers basic real estate search functionalities similar to Zillow, it uniquely emphasizes the social and aspirational elements of house shopping.

12 Retech Corp operates retail kiosks in various locations, including retail centers, airports, and casinos. When their previous developers unexpectedly went out of business, 12 Retech was left without the necessary tools to manage and update their kiosks remotely. They urgently needed a solution to update and modify kiosk content without having to access each unit physically.

The project with Ventana Home Finder involved developing an advanced real estate platform designed to surpass the capabilities of major players like Zillow. The platform integrated multiple MLS systems, enabling users to search for homes based on criteria such as school quality and neighborhood safety. The objective was to provide users with comprehensive insights into potential living areas and practical tools, such as a rent-versus-own calculator, to support informed decision-making.
